Vision College Affiliates form a network of organisations and colleges around the world, it in part, a reason for our extraordinary claim of over 150,000 students at any given time since the year 2000. Since August 1974 when Vision first started we have seen over 1,500,000 men and women graduate with various levels of awards ranging from a Certificate to a PhD. While we are an independent college we are not alone in our ministry.
We are justly pleased with what God had done with and through people, men and women just like you, who have been committed to the growth and development of the Kingdom of God.
We all share a concept, that the knowledge of the Word and the effective presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives makes a difference that makes THE difference.
May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2Pe 1:1-8)

While many subjects have been added to the curriculum the books have stood the test of time, many of them have been in continuous production for 40 years.
Vision Colleges began in response to a need to train men and women of God in their own church. Until this time the brightest and best prospective students were sent to the denominational college or seminary and lost to the local church. Seeing the need Ken Chant began Vision Colleges and made it possible to teach and develop men and women in the local church, by the local church for the local community and the world beyond
Internet Bible College
Originally developed 1999 to be an "Online Bible College" by Denis Plant following a period of ministry in Papua New Guinea it has grown to become the online version of Vision Christian College, Vision International College, and an extension of Vision International University and the Texas University of Theology making possible to present our studies anywhere in the world thus helping to fulfill our mandate to Take The Whole Word To The Whole World.
To the best of our knowledge the Internet Bible College as the first college of any kind to offer our studies through the internet. For the first time, you could enrol, receive your study material, complete your assignments and return them by email.
We have embraced the whole of the "Vision Options" enabling us to bring The Whole Word To The Whole Word"
Vision International University
Ofthe Vision College Affiliates the Vision International University was founded for education and training on both a local and international basis. From the beginning of the New Testament era, the Lord has used the local church and its pastoral leadership to teach and train its people for God’s service. Vision is an instrument to be used by and for the local church to fulfil its calling. The University campus and the administrative offices are located in Ramona (San Diego), California.
Our Mission Statement:
The mission of Vision International University is to effectively educate and train, by means of distance education, men and women called to Christian service. The academic model shall be biblically based Christian higher education (undergraduate through graduate), for preparing Christian pastors, missionaries, church leaders, educators and other professionals for leadership in various fields of Christian service. This mission is to be accomplished through a Christ-centered distance education curriculum, of academic excellence, intellectual inquiry, spiritual and moral integrity, and practical experience.
Philosophy and Objectives:
In this day of disappearing moral absolutes, it is imperative that all Christians be reminded that the Bible, as the revelation of God’s truth, must determine not only our doctrinal beliefs but also our lifestyle. In a changing world, the Christian has an unchanging standard, The Word of God. The VIU “Standards of Conduct” are based upon the teachings and principles of Scripture, seeking to develop personal holiness and discipline exemplified in a lifestyle glorifying to God.
Vision International University is a Bible-based, Christ-centered institution dedicated to the educating and training of Christians for the work of the ministry. The following statement of purposes encompasses the scope of the vision of the University.
Vision International Institute for Continuing Education and Training.
The Vision International Institute for Continuing Education and Training exists to provide continuing education, certificate, and non-degree courses for purposes of training and professional development. The Institute is currently approved by the State of California to offer continuing education contact hours for Registered Nurses and the Behavioural Science professions.
In addition to the formal Vision institutions, there are others with whom we partner, recognise and honour as co-labourers in the work of the ministry.
Vision International Extension Institute
The Vision International Extension Institute is the international outreach effort of the Vision International Education Network. Currently operating in 126 nations, the Extension Institute strives to make vocational and academic education programs available to the nations of the world, in particular, underdeveloped nations, through translation of curriculum, the establishment of resource centres, and training of national leadership. The Extension Institute primarily focuses on vocational ministry training programs for the emerging church and does not issue degrees or awards.
Texas University of Theology
Our role at the Texas University of Theology is to bring theological education and ministerial training to people who are unable or unwilling to attend a centralized higher education institution.
But, more profoundly, while we admire and endorse the efforts of traditional Bible Colleges and Seminaries, we are deeply committed to the concept of training people within the walls of their own local church, and to the provision of excellent teaching material and study options for Christians everywhere. We treat the entire local church environment as part of our educational activity: its worship, its witness, its fellowship, it's teaching; its ministry – are all reckoned to be part of the training process of equipping men and women to serve Christ.
Our function is simply to add a theological and academic resource that few churches can viably provide while leaving the practical training in ministry to the local pastor. Underlying the way in which we present our materials, and the kinds of assessment we employ, there is an educational philosophy based upon the following principles –
Christian education must stand upon a strong theological foundation (cp. the injunctions and warnings about “sound doctrine” in 1 Timothy 1:10; 4:13; 2 Timothy 4:3; 2 Peter 2:1-3; Jeremiah 6:16; 1 Corinthians 3:10-13; etc.).
Students must be brought to know God, not just to learn about him, and the curriculum must be consciously structured to achieve that excellent end. The goal must be not just to impart knowledge, but rather to teach principles of sound interpretation, showing people how to do their own research, and how to apply truth to life. A final goal is the ultimate activation of men and women into effective Christian service, in any environment to which he or she may be called to minister.
- That the Bible is the Word of God, given and preserved for all generations. We believe it is accurate in all that it ultimately affirms, and is the authoritative standard by which we determine beliefs and conduct.
- That God exists as three persons: The Father, Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord, who offers saving grace to all, and the Holy Spirit who empowers men and women for service and sanctifies them for God’s purpose.
- That nothing can replace the importance of the local church, which is the body of Christ on earth, in the program of God.
- That entrance into the church is through the “new birth”, which is brought about by genuine repentance of sin, confession of faith in Christ as Saviour, and surrender to him as Lord.
- That membership in the church is signified by joyful participation in its worship, fellowship, sacraments, witness, and by acceptance of its discipline.
- That the presence and use of the charismata are essential in the local church and in Christian ministry.
- That the victorious Christian life is built upon a proper understanding and exercise of the spiritual authority conveyed to the believer by the gift of righteousness. In the resurrection of the dead at Christ’s return, in the certainty of God’s judgment, and in the inescapable result of that
judgment as foretold in the scriptures for the just and the unjust.
The Apostolic Council for Educational Accountability
It is through our relationship with Vision International University that we are also a part of The Apostolic Council for Educational Accountability (ACEA) ACEA was formed during the New Apostolic Reformation Educator’s Summit, convened in Colorado Springs June 2-3, 1998. This was the first time that 100 educators, representing 65 base institutions (and several hundred satellite schools), from various apostolic networks, were able to meet together on a peer level and to begin to build relationships.
It soon became evident that the participants had come with very similar agendas even though they were moving in different apostolic streams. For example, one network, because its primary target was college campuses, needed their workers to aim for earned graduate degrees. The educator from another network stated that they occasionally have to read their exams to their students because they are training illiterates, among others.
The essential challenge facing the group, representing the training programs of the New Apostolic Reformation, immediately became evident. How do we maintain positive personal relationships, mutual support, camaraderie, peer-level interaction, interdependence, broad accountability, institutional integrity, and our own autonomy in the face of such academic diversity?
Harvestime International Network
Harvestime International Network is a non-denominational Christian organization committed to recruiting, training, motivating, and mobilizing a network of international harvesters capable of intercession for spiritual harvest, articulation and demonstration of the principles of spiritual harvest, and mobilization of labourers to reap the worldwide, end-time harvest.
This network of training and evangelism literally spans the globe and consists of people from all walks of life and all denominations. Harvestime has been granted non-profit religious incorporation status in the United States of America. We operate this website, our Christian education program, and prison ministries through free-will, tax-deductible donations.
Statement of Purpose
It was upon the spiritual harvest fields of the world that Jesus Christ constantly focused the attention of His disciples:
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. (John 4:35)
The challenge given by our Lord is for labourers, men and women who know how to reap the spiritual harvest fields of the world for the Kingdom of God. It is to this purpose that Harvestime International Network is dedicated–to recruit, train, motivate, and mobilize a network of international harvesters capable of:
1. Intercession for international spiritual harvest:
…The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38)
2. Articulation of the principles of spiritual harvest:
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. (2 Timothy 2:2)
3. Demonstration of the principles of spiritual harvest:
And my speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in a demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)
4. Communication of the urgency of the mandate for worldwide spiritual harvest:
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. (Jeremiah 8:20)
5. Mobilization of members of the Body of Christ to reap their appointed fields in worldwide,
…He reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. (Jeremiah 5:24)
International School of Ministry
International School of Ministry (ISOM) Students who graduate with their Associate are welcomed by Vision Internet Bible College with their full 60 credit points and encourage to continue on to the Diploma of Ministry studies. ISOM Students from any part of the world are fully recognised by Vision.
The International School of Ministry concept began in the late 1980s when I worked as the television producer for Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. While filming documentaries alongside Reinhard, as he ministered to millions of people mostly in Africa, I began to realize that there was a severe lack of training material to help nurture and grow these new converts. Yes, Reinhard would bring salvation to hundreds and thousands of people in each crusade. But a burning question remained in my heart. Who was going to help the pastors in the huge work they were needing to do to disciple the great harvest of souls being won to Christ?
I returned to the USA in 1994 and began working on developing the International Curriculum which was the foundation of what is now known today as the International School of Ministry or ISOM. This program had two major distinctions not found in many other programs.
World Class Teachers
First, I decided if we were going to create a powerful training program, why not use the greatest teachers on earth. I realized that nobody had ALL the answers but that different ministers carried unique anointings, graces and understandings. I brought these teachers to a recording venue and asked each one to share their life message with the Global Body of Christ. I had them teach you, direct to camera, and impart not only their knowledge but also to pray for their anointing to transfer into the lives of those being taught.
As you experience these teachings, you need to put a demand on the anointings that these ministry vessels carry. We hear stories from around the world about how people are healed and filled with the Holy Spirit through these powerful messages. Each anointing is different and you can partake in them all. When prayer is taught, an anointing to pray will manifest. When Reinhard Bonnke teaches you evangelism, you will gain a passion to witness to others and when the gifts of the Holy Spirit are taught, you will see them activated in your life.
